This was at the very beginning of the match. I think my play is pretty standard. Pick up a flush draw in an aggressive HU match and then get some more outs on the turn so just got to keep firing to try to get him to fold out his 6x, 2x, 55-33. I really don't like his call down as neither the 7, given that I can have 89 pretty easily, isn't an exactly a blank. River is close, but I figured that he prolly wasn't that strong and I can get him to fold ~30% of the time to make it profitable. Obviously now that I know how he plays, I wouldn't shove the river, but it is a nice thing to know how big of a calling station a person is.

I don't really know about this one. I think 3betting the flop might be better given how aggressive he is that he will fold out his gutshots and stuff on the flop. Although on the hand it is like a spot where the yeti theorum applies in my spot so it's like I can rep a whole lot if I do 3bet so he can c/r with 9x and then get it in pretty happilly in an aggressive match against people that don't really know any better. But I don't really think that applies to him, so yeah should have 3bet the flop.

Hero (BB): $606

Hero checks, SB checks

Results: $276 Pot ($0.50 Rake)
Hero showed A T (two pair, Tens and Fives) and WON $275.50 (+$137.50 NET)
SB showed 3 Q (a pair of Fives) and LOST (-$138 NET)

Here the plan was to c/c and c/r some of the obvious scare cards if they fall on the turn, but I basically pick up the nuts on the turn so I think just c/c and c/c again on the river is better since I hadn't been too out of line yet for him to stack off with Tx here. Actually, now that I think about it some more, c/c on the turn and c/r on blank rivers is probably better regardless than ever c/r the turn since he'll prolly be pot committed by that point. IDK, I think it's close though.

Hero (SB): $745

Pre-Flop: 3 K dealt to Hero (SB)

Hero calls $3, BB checks

Flop: ($12) 5 4 K (2 Players)

BB checks, Hero bets $12, BB calls $12

Turn: ($36) 2 (2 Players)

BB checks, Hero bets $27, BB raises to $88, Hero calls $61

River: ($212) A (2 Players)

BB checks, Hero bets $150, BB folds

Results: $212 Pot ($0.50 Rake)
Hero mucked 3 K and WON $211.50 (+$105.50 NET)

Here was in the match that I started to limp preflop because he was 3betting me like 60% of the time I opened. He would also make it like $45 when I limped though a ton, so it was pretty ridiculous either way. I think just calling down is prolly best once he c/r turn given that this guy would raise A3 almost always in the BB, and prolly would be more aggressive with Kx and 36 on the flop. So I'd say his range is like 52, 42, and a doubtful 36. But then he shuts down on this river so maybe he does shut down on this bad river for his made hands so maybe he does have those more often than I think.

BB: $797

Hero raises to $18, BB raises to $65, Hero calls $47

Flop: ($130) 3 T 7 (2 Players)
BB bets $112, Hero calls $112

Turn: ($354) 8 (2 Players)

BB checks, Hero checks

River: ($354) 4 (2 Players)

BB checks, Hero checks

Results: $354 Pot ($0.50 Rake)
BB showed T J (a flush, Jack high) and WON $353.50 (+$176.50 NET)
Hero mucked 7 8 (two pair, Eights and Sevens) and LOST (-$177 NET)

His spot is certainly a lot more interesting than mine. At first I thought that this was a pretty obvious value bet on his part, but now I'm not sure. I think what I would like better in his spot would be to bet like $150 on the river so that I can bluff shove with some non-flush hands hoping he would fold. So basically I think betting to induce a bluff might work a little better and I prolly would call with smaller flushes given that I was getting 4:1 (and I almost always would bet the turn with a better flush so that is likely out of my range).

SB showed Q 6 (a full house, Sixes full of Queens) and WON $1,199.50 (+$599.50 NET)

Decide to get tricky with AA here since he was folding to my 3bets some at this point and he was a pretty big station so I figured he'd just stack off with any top pair or 2nd pair. He flops good though.

Here is where I first started to 4bet him small because he was 3betting me so light. Usually people will 5bet or fold vastly more often than calling OOP here, so that's why I 4bet him light. But I guess Euros play differently than others. Flop is a little interesting. Basically I just bet small in the hopes that he would c/r with like gutshots (AQ, AJ). I'm sure some people might check behind here, but it is going to be hard for me to call down in this spot and my equity is high enough to just get it in on the flop. I think shoving might be good too, but I hardly ever do that in this spot so I wouldn't want to work it into my game with a range of hands.

Here he 3bets like always and then checks which didn't happen too often when he 3bet and I called. I'm guessing he had some marginal pair like TT or QQ or Jx. I much prefer these small bets on flop and turn because the pot is already so big that regardless of if I bet 1/3 pot or full pot I'm going to be all-in by the river and people will just c/r with a flush draw anyway on this flop so not really a whole lot of need to bomb away at the pot. And it also works a lot better when I am bluffing in this spot because if I bet 1/3 pot he will c/r with flush draws so it saves myself a far amount of money so that I can 3barrel because his range is a lot weaker without the draws in them.

So here he was 3betting so much and I figure he 2barrels a fair amount with heart draws and the majority of the time with Kx too so his range is tons of air and maybe 4x hands.

These are the hands I look back at and go oh god wtf was I doing. The plan on the flop was to bet really small that he would c/r bluff and I could just stick it in. River I figured he'd bet with a lot of air hands given that he saw that weak shit flop bet and randomly decided to call with a ton of air hands and then would bluff this river. I prolly do have fancy play syndrome HU.

Normally in this spot, I would call and then decide on the turn, but this guy was 3betting literally every Ax hand and every pair preflop so with 100% certainty I knew I had the best hand here so I just 3bet to try to induce him to 4bet with gutshots and flush draws.

Flop maybe I can get away with bluff raising, but with how deep we are, and since it is a board that most people bluff at since it's hard for people to hit, I figure that he would just bluff 3bet shove a lot given stack sizes. So I call which I prefer to do with my entire range. Then the turn comes and it is prolly closer than I thought, but he prolly does keep betting all his straight draws so I don't have a problem with it.

River: ($1,200) 8 (2 Players - 1 is All-In)

Again I check figuring that he would go on the fact that I do give up sometimes in 4bet pots and bluff a lot. But he picked up a pair and prolly just thought I would spaz out and call with AQ here. He's prolly right.

I think flop is close between calling and shoving. Shoving is probably a slightly losing play against his calling range, but he is going to be folding so much that it makes it +EV. And plus if I do call he will put me in a pretty tough spot on a ton of turn cards and turn actions.
